Project design and initiation
Undertaking large-scale engineering projects involves inherent risk. In order to ensure your return on investment, our approach consists of four distinct phases:
- Proof of Concept (PoC)
This proven process is designed to introduce container platforms to the enterprise and gives you the ability to steer the project’s direction. We implement agile processes to give you a finer grain of control, should you need it. We will work with you to:
- Produce a readiness assessment
- Provision environments
We will help you select an appropriate app to host in your first container and transform an existing application into a containerised app without touching a line of code.
A working PoC
With the completion of a PoC, you will have evidence of what the platform can achieve and will have all the tools and templates to expand into the next phase.
The PoC will produce:
- An app deployed in a test environment
- Preliminary pipelines
- Build images
- Deploy to test environment
- Basic RBAC
During the pilot, we will extend the PoC by integrating it with your user repository, enabling more security features, and configuring production-like workflows involving image signing and chain-of-custody features. This phase ends in production readiness with a number of apps ready to release.
Moving to production
We will undertake enterprise-wide scaling and integration, as per your requirements.
